In both emulators it seemed to miss shots( not fire after pulling the trigger) and that was frustrating. It was alot harder getting it working in MAME. I also got it working on the latest mame emulator and tried the Arcade Duck Hunt. I found one that allowed me to hide the cursor making Duck Hunt much more fun. It worked good with a nes/Nintendo emulator called Nestopia. Resident Evil Gun Survivor 2 for the PS2 on a backwards compatible PS3 was laggy using this gun, as was Time Crisis 1 on the Japanese import Gunvari Collection. It might work to play those PSX games on the pc on a emulator however if your up to the chore of trying to get it to work. It will not play PSone light gun games on these console. It works ok on the PS2 and the PS3 playing PS2 games. This is my favorite way to play because the mouse cursor is always lagy if you use that to aim with this gun.
Some of the games you can hide the cursor with some tweaking. It is basically a mouse on your PC and allows you to play on rail shooter video games that use a mouse to aim. It is pretty accurate but makes the mouse so jittery that I think it hurts your accuracy. The gun also comes with a red dot laser sight that you can adjust with and screw driver. The gun has kickback, so every time you pull the trigger it blows back whether you are out of ammo or not.

You can create different button configuration profiles with the software as well. You can also program a gun button to be both a mouse button and a keystroke at the same time. You can also program each gun button to be the same mouse button or keystroke. So 4 of the buttons on the gun can be disabled or do the same thing as 4 other buttons. And the EMS key mapping software allows you to only program 6 keys or mouse buttons to the 10 gun buttons.

It doesn't really work like a gamepad or a joystick, the driver makes it work like a 6 button mouse.
#Ems topgun 3 play asia 64 Bit#
I don't think there are official drivers for 64 bit systems. It takes a long time to send it back to If I barely touch the janky A button, it activates. But at least it works so I decided to not send it back again. It doesn't feel right and is extremely easy to activate it. I sent it back and they fixed it and sent the same gun back to me. For "controler 1", map the analog stick (up/down/left/right) to your mouse (up/down/left/right), and map the fire and reload buttons to mouse left click and right click. The gun came with a half broken A button. In the control plugin setting interface, set the "Mouse API" as "Direct Input". To map your mouse (or TopGun) as PS2 joypad, please set the controller plugin as "LilyPad". I have tested PCSX2 with the game Time Crisis - Crisis Zone.Ģ. But, the cursor would never locate at where the gun is aiming at.ġ. When you aim the gun to the right, the cursor would also go to the right. This emulator would recognize TopGun as mouse, and could recognize it's input. The emulator would recognize the input of the "virtual PS2 joypad", but not the coordinate of the mouse pointer.) (reason: Your mouse emulates the analog stick of PS2 joypad. The cursor would not move as flexibly as you are playing FPS games such as "Battlefield", but it is still playable.
For this case, you could play the game with your mouse. For gun shooting games, you could map the mouse to the left analog stick of a virtual PS2 joypad, and map mouse left / right click as other buttons.
This emulator has joypad plugin, but there is no lightgun plugin.
First of all, let me tell you the bad news first.
